William Kentridge is an artist using, among other things, drawing, charcoal, paints, music, puppets. I first ran across his work in a review of his show at MOMA which included the image below. Drawing and surreal/absurdist fanatic that I am, I was transfixed. I looked him up to learn more and found this lovely PBS special on him by the excellent and highly recommended series ART:21 (referring to art and artists in the 21st century).
