Hello, I’m Kira Lynn. I’m a multidisciplinary artist. I’m fascinated by playing with two or more languages together—literature, visual art, music—to create new meaning.
I studied New Genres at San Francisco Art Institute with artist Tony Labat, historian Anna Novakov, and poet Bill Berkson, and later the art of Picture Books with author-illustrator Victoria Jamieson at Pacific Northwest College of Art. I teach at arts nonprofits VIBE of Portland (where I served as the Director of Visual Arts Curriculum), the Brentwood Art Center in Santa Monica, and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and work at the art publishing house Pomegranate. My debut art book for all ages, “Tears are Everywhere”, comes out May 1, 2026, from Buckman Journal.
